I just finished listening to “Shatner Rules,” an audio book written by and narrated by William Shatner. Say what you will about Captain Kirk, but the guy really knows how to build and maintain his brand.
The book is really a bunch of random vignettes…tales…about Shatner’s career and the lessons he’s learned (and is more than eager to share) along the way. I found his stories to be candid, honest and from the heart. What’s most interesting is that he makes the reader (or in my case listener) feel like he’s personally talking to you…like your having a beer and hanging out with your best friend Bill.
I just found out that he’s turned Shatner Rules into “Shatner’s World: We Just Live In It” a one man show for a limited engagement on Broadway and around the country. You’re gonna love this clip…can you believe this guy is 80? (Space, the final frontier, must work wonders for the aging process : )
