Jonathan Murphy is a Doctor devotee…who isn’t? He enjoys tossing around all sorts of topics related to the series. Here he picks (in his opinion) some of the most memorable Doctor Who episodes featuring David Tennant. These are in no particular order.
“This is one of my favorite episodes in the entire series! It features the Doctor’s creepiest enemies…The Weeping Angels, and one of the Doctor’s best words…wibbely-wobbely-timey-whimey-thing.”
“…One of the darker episodes about human paranoia in the face of an unknown terrifying entity and certain death. It shows the Doctor scared for the first time. I love the intensity…it’s very unsettling…and it’s one of Tennant’s best performances.”
3. THE UNICORN AND THE WASP
“This is a sillier episode where the Doctor and his companion participate in an Agatha Christie-like whodunnit with a sci-fi twist. There is great verbal interplay between Tennant and the companion, played by Catherine Tate.”
“This episode ends on a hell of a cliff hanger…the return of the Doctor’s greatest nemesis…The Master. Sir Derek Jacobi, a brilliant British actor, guest stars.”
5. THE GIRL IN THE FIREPLACE
“This fairytale-like episode plays with time and space. I love the chemistry between the Doctor and the protagonist, Madame de Pompadour, and the cool clockwork alien antagonists.”
